_* , CITY POLICE COURT. (Before 11. Y. Widdowson. Esq., S.M.) Drunkenncts.--A first offender was fined jss, in default 24 hours.— John Pringle pleaded guilty to drunkenness and to breach of a prohibition order. ' He was fined ss, in default 24 hours, for the first offence, and 20b, in default seven days, for breach of the order.—Edward Floyd, a little old man, who had been released on bail, and who appeared to have fortified himself for the appearance, was fined 10s. Truancy.—Rebecca Ritchie, on two charges of failing to send children to Forbury' School, was fined 2s in respect of each.—The Magistrate said that this was a case where it was reported that "The children were out of control, and the police would be asked to keep an eye on them. He warned the woman that if she did not see to the matter her children might be taken from her.
