Tho homes controlled by* tho association are situated in Russell crescent. North Filzroy. and at tho present day number 67 cottages, in addition to the Sumner hall and lodge. The late Sir William. Zeal by his will donated an sino-j.'it to build and endow two cottages, and these are now in coarse of erection. At present the homes are occupied by old colonists who have borne the burden of the early days of tho State, and in old age Itave been placed, in ease and com fort. Tile income from tho association’s fund? is devoted to a payment of 8s per week to each inmate. The qualification for membership is 25 years’ residence in Victoria.
