Our attention has been drawn by the secretary of the Otago General Laborers' Union (Mt J. E. MacManus) to the case of Mr I. Patti6on, who ha 6 been ill for the last ]2 months and is in very distressed circumstances. It is quite possible that Mr Pattison. who has a wife and two children depending on him, will not be able to continue in his calling, which is that of a general laborer.
