Scott, secretary of the South Island Dairy Association, reports that he has eable n'dviee from London that 750 tons of New Zealand cheese, secured by certain firms on consignment at an advance without recourse, has already been sold forward for future delivery at 65s to 66s per cwt., c.i.f. .Mr Scott says that this advance-wit bout-recourse system is a most pernicious one, and is detrimental to prices and'unfair to factories and legitimate traders, and should be utterly discountenanced by all, in tho best interests of the dairy industry. For outputs of cheese to the end of April and May 6jjd, f.0.h., is still freely offered, but only a few North Island factories have as yet sold.
