(Received August 23, at 10.50 a.m.) It is understood that the State Government have received a reply from Mr Fisher that is favorable to the demand that the federal authorities shall pay 3£ per cent, on the capitalised value of the Government House property during the remainder of Lord Denman's term of office. The residence afterwards reverts to the State to be used for public purposes, unless other arrangements are made.
