Th« annual report of the North Itunedin branch of the Sixpenny Clothing Club contains the following:
The North Uunedin branch is now the only one remaining, and in bringing before the subscribers the 50sh repoit tuo committee dcrirc to thank them lor their generous and most willing support for so many year?. The branch has continued it? work just in the fame way as at the beginning, helping all necessitous cases coming under its notice. Without the help of the branch the. aged and intinii, and de.-erted wives with families, would he in a sad plight. The branch meets regularly every month, and too much praise cannot bo given to the cdleetors. A small legacy was ieft, by a friend srane years -since, which has enabled. the branch 'to relieve many more cases than it otherwise could. The branch desires to thank the Knox C'inmh Deacons' Court, for the use of their room for its meetings and the Misses JSell for their annua! handsome gift of blankets, etc. The branch deeply regret* the, low; of its aide president (Mrs Black) in conferjuenee of her removal fnTm-;)iinoilin.
