Both 1 sides are therefore invited to confer with the Board of Trade on Friday. | WASHINGTON, May 28. |- Senator Smith presented the subcommittee's report on the Titanic. It severely censures Captain Lord, of the California!!, for his lack of vigilance. He could have caved all the Tiianie's passengers and crew had he obeyed the signals. Mr Ismay is not held responsible for the high speed at which the Titanic was going. His name is barely mentioned. The U.S. Senate voted a medal to Captain Rostron, of the Carpathia, and specially i thanked his crew.
