Tho Itaian cruiser Picmonte. lowered a boat flying a white flag at Jiodeida, and captured a motor launch which was flying the Union Jack. It is reportd that the British Consul has requested that a warship be. sent, as the Italians are threatening to bombard Hodeida. Rizn Bey and four others who were aboard the steamer Africa have been released. A MODUS VIVENDI. PARIS, January 30. France and Italy arc contemplating a mixed commission to devise means of preventing a recurrence of seizures, and to arrange a maritime modus vivendi during the continuance of tho war.
