ATHLETIC CONFERENCE.
NEW ZEALAND ATHI.FTIC AND CYCLING UNION. [Pr.n United Pivkps Association.] HAMILTON. January 50. The. conference of delegates of the New Zealand Athletic and (ycling Union was held at Hamilton la.-t nigh'.. Mr Kennedy, president, in the chair. It was decided to severely censure the North Canterbury Centre for their action in net granting a permit to the Christchurch Cycle and Motor ( lull, anil to request that a duly-audited stati-ment of tho affairs of :he centre be presented to the council, or that affiliation be cancelled. Twenty-eight days was allowed in which to comply. The conference unanimously confirmed the action of the president- in granting a pr-rmil- io the Christchurch Club for a. meet ing after it had been refused hy North Canterbury. A further tesolufion was passed giving the council power to suspend anv centre or club not complying with the order or decision of the council.
The next championship meeting and conference were fixed to be held at Blenheim. Officers:-—Patron. Mr G. W. Wood iln(vercnrgill) : president, Mr Kennedy (Geraldine) : vice-presidents, Mr Duncan (Auckland) and Mr Clarke (Tamaxi) ; secretary and treasurer. Mr Callendar (Napier) ; committee—Messrs Gilfedder (Auckland), Fisher (Rlenheini). Wilson (Grevmoulh), Hansen (Eltham), and D. F. M'Kay (Dunedin).
