DRAINAGE BOARD REPORTS.
The Works and Finance Committees report as under for next meeting of the board :
The committee have authorised sewage reticulation of Leckhampton and St. Helier's courts and Bridge street by day labor, and the trapping of intake Maolaggan street sewer at Serpentine avenue. The committee have recommended a sewer up right-of-way from behind C. Begg and Co.'s, Princes' street, City. The number of applications received for the fortnight ended 21st October. 1911. was 90. Works in progress (dnv labor) : North-east Valley reticulation. Black's road to Dunfermline place, 1,250 ft of sis-inch sewer, 4 manholes, 2 lampholes. C'aversham reticulation: 675 ft of six-inch sewer, 2' manholes, 1 lamphole. Bay View road : Main line, 87ft of 2ft 6in '.sewer. 150 lineal feet of concrete bottom ; roticuiation. 655 ft of nine-inch sewer, 1 manhole. Cumberland street (between Rattray and Water streets) : 255 ft of six-inch sewer, 2 manholes. Contract completed ; Moray place (this private property, M'Viukar's, Bejjg's, etc.) : 60ft nine-inch e.w. sewer, 12ft nine-inch s.L sewer (in tunnel), sft Fix-inch e.w. sewer. Musselburgh reticulation: 60ft twelveinch sewer. Contracts: filen reticulation (E. C. Holmes), 905 ft six-inch sewor, 4 manholes, 5 lampholes. Total sewers laid : 12,871 ft of six-inch, 1,035 ft of nineinch. The Finance Committee report that since the bust meeting of the committee tho sum of £456 8s 8d has been paid into the credit of tho board's aggregate fund. Pas* books wer laid on the table showing credits: Aggregate fund, £6,089 14s 7d ; trust account, £193 19s.
