Tlio Wellington Gas Company 'says a P.A. telegram) have increased their capital to £500,0Q0 by the creation of 150,000 new shares at £1 each, issued to shareholders as preference shares. FARMING PROPERTIES SOLD. Messrs Park, Reynolds, Ltd., offered two farcing properties at auction to-day, and the sale drew a large and Interested crowd of spectators and bidders. The lirst property olierod was section 37, block 8, North Harbor and Blneskin district, containing 60 acres at Pine Hill. Bidding started at £4 per acre, and advanced to £5 17s 6d, at which price Mr G. C. Fox was declared the purchaser. The second property was sections 13 and 16, Upper Harbor East, and application 59, Otago Peninsula district containing in all 67a lr 16p, together with house and steading. This property adjoins the schoolhouse at Macandrews Bay, the front portion being suitable for subdivision for seaside cottages. Bidding went to £29 per acre, at which, price it was withdrawn, but was sold im nediately afterwards privately at a substantial increase upon that figure. PROPERTY SALE. Messrs James Samson and Co. sold by auction at their rooms, Dowling street, the Glen roller flour-milk, on account of Mr James E. Mather.
