LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. The contributors to the Acldrees-in-Rcply debate vesterdav were the Hons. W. W. M'Cardie and J. Rigg. The latter said with respect to the Coronation invitations the members of the Council appeared to have been overlooked—a circumstance •which, to his mind, constituted a grave discourtesy to them. As to the proposed amendments to the Arbitration Act, he hoped that the Government would he, given power to imprison.for striking. Ho agreed that it was necessary that awards made should be respected.
