[From Our Pabuajuht ah. Rbposti jl] WELLINGTON, August 2. CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION. Last year, in reply to a question put by the member for Dnnedin Central, the Government said that the long delay in bringing down the Civil Service classification list was caused by recent adjustments in departmental staffs. Mr Arnold is now following the matter up by asking whether these adjustments are now complete; if so, will the Government either bring down the classification list or announce that they have abandoned the proposed classification of the Civil Service. WINDLE SETTLEMENT. Mr Arnold wants the Minister of Labor to state what he intends doing with the land in the Windle Settlement which has not been built on. He complains that it is some years since the last workman's home was erected. The population of Mornington is now becoming congested, while this valuable land is locked up, besides which the J3pr#ugh Couneil are being deprived of raei'r income.
