TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Your local last night in regard_to the above was apropos. I had occasion the otheT d-ay to euspect that som<; b.tter I purchased wa« short in quantity, and on weighing it I found it was considerably lees than a pound. I am sure that the' great majority of those who make or retail butter are honest, but here and there a black sheep will be found, so a word of warning will not be amies.—l am, etc., Mother of Six.
