Press Association—By Telegraph—Copy-rigid. LONDON. June 3a Lady Wantage, the Right Hon. Georgo William Palmer (of biscuit manufacturing fame), Sirs Palmer, and Mr Alfred Palmer have given £50,000 each to endow a university at Reading (where the famous manufactory is situated), with a view to; making application for a charter as an in- : dependent university. Mr Palmer gaveY £50,000 for the same purpose in 1905.
