LODGE MEETINGS.
Those who attended the weekly meeting of the Pioneer of Uunedin Lodge No. 2 of Good Templars were afforded a treat m the way of a pleasant evening provided by tho members of the Alliance and Hope oi Cawsham Lodges. The chair was occupied bv Bro. T. H. Dalton (Lhici Templar)," who heartily welcomed the large gathering of visitors from the sister lodges. The Pioneer Lodge decided to accept the invitation of the Hope of Cavereham. Lod*e Jo attend their church parade, and also to attend officially the pound night in connection with the Alliance Lodge. At the conclusion of tho business the programme was proceeded with, the following contributing :—Piano solo, Sis. D. Merry ; songs, Sisters A. and G. Campbell, his. J. Clarkson, Sis. A. Stevens; duet, Sisters S. Faithful and J. Clarkson; mutation, Bto. J. M'Connell. Sisters G. M'Pherson (Lodge Deputy Alliance j Lodge) was most interesting and iustruc- : tive. Complimentary remarks on the successful evening were passed by those who responded to the visitors' vote of thanks. Tho fortnightly meeting of- the Antidote Division Sons and Daughters of Temperance was held in the Burns Hall on Monday evening, Bro. Stratton, W.P., presiding. There was a large attendance of officers and members, and a lively interest was taken in the proceedings, especially a debate on the advancement of the Division.
