(From Our Special Reporter.) EAWREXCE. May 22. Mr Jv. Scott. ALP. for Tnapeka, has received replies from the Hon. J. A. Millar to the requests of Otago Ccntra.l deputation in February with respect to the railway time-table. To their request that the train should be timed to arrive at Clyde earlier In tlie day, Mr Millar answers that lie rinds this to be impossible, taking into consideration the main-line running. As to the second request—that the Southern express should stop at Wingatui to connect there with the Central train—the Minister's reply is that on! yfourteen passengers booked for the iSouth at Wingatui last month, so that, there is no grout demand for the suggested change. It would also mean that the Central train would have to reach Wingatui a quarter of an hoar earlier. For thee© reasons, and the one that it is inadvisable to multiply the stoppages of express trains. Mr Millar regrets that he must refuse the request. Mr Scott has forwarded the Ministers j replies to the Alexandra people. i
