SCHOOL COMMITTEE
MORNINGTON. The Morniivton School Committee's annual report sUttes that twelve committee meetings wore held during the year; that owing to ill-health Mr Davidson, head master was granted nine months leave of absence, and that the Committee trust he will return from the Old Country fully restored to health. In July last Inspectors Coven and Richardson examined the school, their report being very satusiactorv In December Wimtred M. George gained a Junior Board Scholarship. At-tendance.-Jiine .quarter, 420; September quarter, 425; December quartw, 473; March quarter, 477. For the March quarter of this year the percentage of attendance was 96.5, which speaks volumes or the interest the parents take, and also tor the healthy condition of the pupils. Last vear Erol Thompson received a silver medal for an unbroken attendance of nine years The sixth annual flower show, organised by the staff and the senior pupils, moved very successful, tho school funds ■being auemented by £8 Of this sum your Committee has decided to spend £2 on pictures for the adornment of the infant room walls. The Committee desire to thank Mr J. Rennie and Mr A. Meiklejohn for services as judges. At the A. and P. Society's winter show our school, foT the third time in succession, gained the first prizo for vegetables grown by pupils.
