COTTON-GROWING

(Received March 31, at 10.15 a.m.) The representative of a hemp and cotton eompany at Berlin is visiting Central Queensland in connection with a proposal to .settle 1,000 cotton-growers. The Government have offered the company a block of 40 square miles near Capella, and the company are prepared to spend £150,000 in the enterprise, and arc willing to buy all the cotton produced.
