VALUABLE PICTURES DESTROYED. [Per United Press Association.] GREYMOUTH, March 31. Mr Hugh Scott's nice residence at Nelson Creek, which contained a valuable collection of pictures, also splendid furniture, was totally burned down at midnight. The insurance, in the Victoria Office, amounted to £350. Mr Scott, however, estimates his loss at £BOO to £I,OOO above that. The occupants only escaped with their lives.
