A TERRFIC CYCLONE
TWO TOWNSHIPS DEVASTATED
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. BRISBANE, March 19. A wire from Port Douglas states that a terrific cyclone was experienced on Thursday. Practically every building iix tho town was levelled. There were two deaths, and 100 people are homeless. Tho message asked that relief bo sent. The township of Mossman was also devastated. Tho telegraphic service is disorganised. SOME OF THE WRECKAGE. BRISBANE, March 20. (Received March 20, at 10.10 a.m.) Two men were killed by falling houses during the Port Douglas cyclone, ono of them while assisting his mother to escape. Tho wrecked buildings include the Roman and Anglican churches, the Government bond, and three public halls.
