DIED IN THE CELLS

OAMARC, February 21. A man whose identity is unknown died in the police cells last night. The deceased joined tho slow train from Timaru to Oamaru at Timaru, evidently the worse of liquor, and on arrival at Oamaru was taken in custody. Despite medical aid and every possible attention, he died shortly after midnight. The deceased was between fifty and sixty years of age, of medium build, sft Sin height, fair moustache, round face, dark hair, turning grey, head bald on top He had with him a sack i wag. :.nd was wearing a blue sorgo coat, grey waistcoat, and dark tweed trousers.
