ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
A Christclnirch telegram states that John Graham, about sixty years of age, dropped dead while working in. the. hold of the collier Petone at Lyttclton yesterday. The deceased, who had been a waler.'ide worker at Lyttelton for many years, was well known in the port, lie, appeared to be, in hi.s usual health, lie wa- a. married man, residing at Sydenham, and, it. is stated, had been receiving treatment for heart disease.
Arthur Phillip To an ant, about sixty-five years of age, a brother of the laic l)r Ten'nant, died at Auckland from injuria; leceived in a buggy accident at Papatoetoe. Ho h.id apparently walked out. to the end of a log and cut his throat and then fallen into the river. No reason for the deed i-m be stated. Over £8 was found in hw pockets.
