The South Otago District and Degree Lodge held their monthly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall, Albany street. The officers of the Degree Lodge met first, and were presided over by the Degree ilastex, Bro. W. Kilpatrick. Five candidates presented themselves and were elevated to the third degree, and were welcomed to all the rites and privileges of the Order. After this the District Lodge had their meeting. The D.D.G.M. (Bro. W. Smith) waa in the chair. Correspondence was read and rereived, and general business transacted. rhe secretary presented a few advanced copies of the 'Official Handbook' of the district for tho ensuing year, -which were favorably commanted lyjou.
