MELBOURNE, December 3, (Received December 3, at 10.20 a.m.)
In the State Assembly, tiie Treasurer, in moving the second reading of the Savings Bank Act Amending Bill, stated that tho Credit Foncier system had more than justified itself. Of the two and a-half millions advanced, there was only £IOO i ndcfault. The Bill proposes, to extend the system, in order to enable people to build their own homes.
