THAT CAVERSHAM STATION.
TO TIIK KDITOU Sir,—l qiuto agree with your correspondent " Caversham" that the station is in the wrong place. 'This was noticed by somo of tho Caversham people before it was built, and 400 residents signed a petition and sent it up to Wellington, asking the Minister to havo tho station at Sydney street tram terminus so that passengers could got a tram to South Dunedin via Cargill road or the hill. A deputation also waited on the engineer, and pointed out the disadvantages of putting it whoro it is ; but it was all' of no avail. Mr Sidey also brought tho matter up in the House, but tho Minister just about as pood as said that thev woild put the station just where they liked. So they have, and it's no good to anvone, but just mbr-cy wasted.—l am, etc., ' TIIAMCAIt. November 4.
