[Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, November 4. A meeting of billiard saloon keepers decided to raise funds for an appeal against the decision of Mr Cutten. H.M., who ruled that saloons where pool is played for small stakes are common gaming-houses. Thensolicitor telegraphed to the Hon. Dr Findlay suggesting that instructions he given to the police to pormit. matter;; to go 0:1 as before, pending a decision on appeal. Dr. Findlay replied that, he did not care to interfere with the police proceedings, but ho had communicated with the Commissioner of Police Hint the suggestion seemed fair if the appeal ir, prosecuted with due diligence.
