LODGE MEETINGS

The Dunedin District Lodge of Good Templars held their meeting last evening in the Albany street Oddfellows’ Hall. Bro. J. Hilton presided oyer a large gathering of members and visitors. Bro. James Paterson, at one time a District Lodge officer, was heartily welcomed back after having spent some timo in Wellington. Bro. Paterson gave a short address on tho lodges in tha North, and conveyed greetings of the brothers and sisters with whom he had been associated. Two members, who had presented proper credentials, received tho district degree. The visiting deputies to the subordinate lodges gave encouraging reports on the progress being made in tha district. A vote of condolence was passed to the widow and family of the late Bro." Win. Scott, who was a very earnest member. Several matters concerning the district wore discussed, after which a vote of thanks was passed to the Lily of the Valley Lodge for the use of their hall and furnishings.
