Mr Stanton, tho men’s agent, wrote to the manager of the Powell-Duffryn Mining Company in South Wales stating that if there was any blacklegging in connection with the dispute there was going to be murder. The company thereupon refused to have further negotiations with Mr Stanton, whom the men support. The twelve thousand Cambrian miners, whose notices are expiring, propose that the Powell-Duffryn strikers should form a trade union independent of tho Miners’ Federation, which disagrees with the men’s action. A committee representing tho masters and tho Executive of the Boilermakers’ Society have agreed to verbal alterations, removing some of the men’s misinterpretations of the agreement.
