N.Z. ALLIANCE'S VIEW. [Per United Paitss Association.] WELLINGTON. November 1. The Executive of the N.Z. Alliance last night considered the Licensing Bill, end resplved-r- , Thqti jvhi)e, adhpripK to the pqhpy of the party as settled at successive conventions, *he Executive approve of the Bill with certain aipenqmento ?®d additions to fender it mope effective, but stipulate as an essential condition that the method of taking the vote under the Bill he altered to pro* vide for two separate voting papers—one for the local No-license Tote and one for a vote for National Prohibi- • tian. That eaph paper he.of distinct cqlor from tho other, and_ from t lie ballot-paper for the General Election, That the yoio upon each issue be counted and ascertained separately. The Executive place on record that the two issues differ widely in pnnr ciple, rendering it unjust to put both on one paper. The submission of separate papers cannot prejudice any section of tpe electors. The effect Ot the voting-paper in the Bill would probably he to disfranchise a number of electors or force fjhem to record their votes upon one issue contrary to the rea desire.
