ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS

Mr George Croft Huddleston, a wellknown resident of Auckland, died yesterday from injuries received the day before. He was walking down the steps in front of his bouse, when he slipped and fell, severely injuring his spine. He was sixtytwo years of age. The one-year-and-ten-months-old son of Mr William Harvey, farmer, of Moraona, died suddenly on Sunday as the result of burns received from his clothes catching fire. An Auckland qysssage states that an old settler of Hunua, named Bentley, was found drowned in a creek. It is supposed that he had fallen in a faint or a fit.
