SALE OF WORK
A bazaar promoted by the Ladies’ Guild of the St. Kilda Church of England in aid of tho church building fund will be opened this evening in the Town Hall by the mayor of the borough (Mr D. C. Cameron, jum). The Committee in charge of the entertainments have arranged a good programme, and there will be a large number of side shows and competitions. To-night musical selections will be played by the Columbia Band, Messrs J. Deaker and J. M’Connell will enact a comic Irish, sketch, Mr V. Raymond will perform some conjuring feats, and Misses Stoneham and Smith will play a duet. A valuable prize, to be offered in tho shooting competition, is a hand-om-broidered bedspread, trimmed with handmade lace. Its estimated value is £lO. The bazaar will close on Thursday evening.
