LODGE MEETINGS
The Hope of Duncdin Lodge of Ooo,| Templars held their weekly meeting on Tilday evening in the Zeal audi a Chambers. Howling .-Heel. Pro. Monison, C.T., piesided. Notification of District Lodg" meeting and Pioneer Lodge banquet wet,; received, and as theie was ii) vacancy on the list of delegates it was lillcd up. The syllabus for the new quarter was presented and adopted. Oeneral i-atisfaction was rx-pu-ssed when the letter from ]!ro. Patei■oll was lead saying I hat he was returning !o Dunetlin from Wellington. The olliceis for Ihe new term were elected. A vote of .■vinpalhv was ordered to be sent to a. sister who was 0:1 the sick list, and who had l.een an aitive member of ihe lodge. A choil pii./iamme of harmony was contnliuled. and the vote to the vir.iloiv-, was ie-.-poiided to by Sis. South (Lily of the \';:!hv'i, I'.'v.' MT'arbme (Pioneer). Si-. Siloing lAiiiancoi. and a P.escue member. A very enjoyable evening was spent at the Tcm'peranci' Social Club's rooms. Ma.laggan slreot, on J'Viday night, when Mr W. Steedman enterta.ined the members and friends lo a social on the occasion of his approaching mintage. The earlier pail of the programme included games of ali kinds and wn;;v by several of. the men,Iras, and altei supper had been dispo.-ed of s.'ire' thirty live couples indulged Ju dancing to music supplied by Messrs M'Connell and Sut<T. A vote of thanks, was accorded lo Mr Steedman, and eanied with musical honors, aai!.' best wishes were expursed for his future happiue.-:- and prosperity. At the -monthly meeting of the club next Tuesday'.Mr Steedman will be the recipient of a. marble clock, donated by memlx.'rs, as a mark of their esteem and appreciation of his services to the eiub. J. Siv.caloii. liros. P. Ilamer. ('. M'Ken/ie, W. 11. M/Leod, W. II '.M'Callum to carry out their programme—a musical evening. An excellent, programme was provided. A vote of fluutks was moved 10 I'M. Bio. Smeaton and the brothers who assisted him. The second toast was resjionded to bv P.O. P>n>. .M'Neil (Loyal Albion) and N.C Pro. Washer (Loyal Hand tm.l Heart).
