The L'nion Steam Ship Contiianv wrote acknowledging lect'ipt of the claim of Uie lioard for £250 on account of the company not having docked the full number of .-toamers in 1909. The company pointed nut that the new dock was not opened till .Juno 30, 1909, so th.it for six months the lioard had not been in position to take into the large dock the voxels of the company which were too large for the older dock. Tht> writers thought that in these circumstances tlie lioard would recognise- that the claim shonkl receive further consideration. —Referred to the Dock Committee.
