(Received March 17, nt 9.5 a.m.) Though the strike is over, it is unlikely that full supplies of coal will be available for some weeks. During the strike flic interstate companies had over fifty steamers laid up. and thirty of those arc still idle. Docking them and getting them into running order will moan a further large outlay. Tho total losses to the interstate and Union companies over the strike is estimated at £2OO,CCO.
