The Electric Tower and Lighting Committee report having made an offer to the Maori Hill Borough Council for the installation of electric lighting in that borough, as per report and estimate of the city electrical engineer. Permission, has been granted for the holding of church services at the Waipori Tails at such times as will not inconvenience operations at tho works. A friend of tho staff having presented a piano to the barracks at the Waipori Falls, authority lias been granted to pay the cartage of same —viz., £3—and instructions given to have the instrument insured. The Finance Committee recommended that on and after- April 1, 1910, the revenue derived from the Baths Reserve be kept in a separate account in the Council’s ledger; that tho sum of £BOO be appropriated out of the special fund to complete the special work in lleriot row, as a matter of urgency; that the accident insurances he placed with the New Zealand Insurance Company for distribution among all offices doing accident business in the City, and that the fire insurances he placed with the Standard Fire and Marine Insurance Company for similar distribution. .Tho cost of duplication of the Anderson Bay tramway track is to be paid out of tram wavs revenue account.
