PRISONERS SENTENCED

[Peh United Pnr.ss Association.] WELLINGTON, March 5. Tn the Supreme Court to-day, before the Chief Justice, William Williams, a young man, for the theft of £72, the funds of the Iron and Prass-nionlders’ Union, was sentenced to four months' imprisonment. Chas. Brooks, aged niiiaonn, for breaking and entering a house at the Hutt, ami stealing £2 15s, being Ins first offence, was admitted to probation. Itobcrl Yanston, aged eighteen, for stealing two cows at Alakuri, being also a offence, was ordered to come up for sentence when called on.
