If tho present high level of the river keeps up, the probability is (hat tho matter will flout over the reef and work into tho bank proper. The manager of tho Watchman reports :—During the past week the western face has been advanced an additional 15ft, making a tote I of 40ft from No. 1 rife. At this point I intend cutting through the reef to intersect the. footwall for tho purpose of proving its size, and value.
