relatives. Mr Edward Homy Cardwoll, of Hillside, West Horsley, Surrey, and of London and Newmarket, a well-known racehorse owner (raring under the name of Mr E. Carlton) and clubman, a director of the South Metropolitan Gas Company, who dicil at Newmarket on November 20, aged 7(1, left £4,000 each to his nurse and butler, £I,OOO to the Poyal Surrey County Hospital, and £3OO to the Cancer Research 'Association. 'The gross value of his estate was £ll-2,700. Mr George John Mackay, of Kendal, retired manufacturer, J.P. for Westmoreland, who died on November 20, left £I,OOO to his housekeeper upon trust for her for life.
