Laurier expressed himself a.s being impressed with Mr Hughes's argument against sending a team to Bisley unless the new rule were withdrawn, which declares that no service arm other than that of Great Britain can he used unlets in the hands of the British Riile Association three months in advance. Mr Hughes suggested that private companies had instigated the rule in order to disci edit the Ross riile. A Melbourne cable message received this afternoon stales that Victoria will be represented in tho 15 is ley team by Re.-igh, Williams, and Armstrong. Tho team leave for I/ondon on May 14. Major Paine will bo in command.
