A Morninglon .ratepayer writes:—ln a report of a sppcial meeting of the Morningtou Borough Council, held last week, vou stated that a technical breach of the Municipal Corporations Act had Jed to- the resignation of Mr H. A. Reynolds; (hat the omountg of contract to firms of which councillors are members arc limited to £lO, and that Mr Reynolds (or. rather, the firm of which he is one of the principals) had exceeded that amount by £2 7s 6d. Will ex-Councillor Reynolds state for tho information of the ratepayers the amount that was put on to next year's balancesheet, the amount that'was paid for printing the last rolls and ballot papers, and various amounts from 15s up? Will £4O cover it?
