There has been no news from Jamaica for five days, the cables being broken. Great floods were reported prior to the cables breaking, and the indications suggest terrific storms on sea and land.

The Telegraph Department stales that Berne advises that the Jamaiea-Torto Rico cable and also the Jamaica land lines arc interrupted.
