MELBOURNE EMPLOYERS APPROVE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, October 6. In giving evidence before the Daylight Saving Bill Committee, the Inspector of Factories stated that he had collected the opinions of 343 employers, 303 of whom favored the proposal, while 20 were neutral and 20 wore against it. The secretary of the Storekeepers’ Association, representing 1,500 storekeepers, declared that his society, as a whole, favored the scheme.
