CHRISTCHURCH, October 8. Yesterday Lady Plunket, honorary colonel of the No. 2North Canterbury Mounted Rifles, reviewed her regiment at Mr H Lance’s homestead, Horsley Downs. Her Excellency wore her colonel’s uniform and saluted perfectly. She was entertained at luncheon, and was also received by the ladies of the Apiuri district. On Wednesday Lady Phmket visited and inspected the. institutions under the charge of tho Roman Catholic Church here, acoompamed by Bishop Grimes, and was greatly interested in the Magdala Hospital.
