SALES OF WORK

AIORNINQTQN BAPTIST CHURCH. The sale of work promoted by the ladies of the Momington Baptist Church was concluded last night, the result of the two days’ operations being satisfactory, about £7O being raised, which sum wil go to the budding fund. The efforts of the choir each night were much appreciated. As a whole the bazaar was very successful, and all those workers who gave of their time and labor to achieve success have reason to be satisfied with the result. FOREIGN MISSIONS. The sale of work of the Ladies’ Auxiliary Methodist Foreign Miesiang, hold in the Trinity Church Hall, concluded last evening. The receipts for the two days wore £72 6s Bd, and as there are still gome returns to come in tho total proceeds should be about £BO.

The Kaikorat Presbyterian Church bazaar again attracted a large gathering last night, tho hall being crowded, and most satisfactory business was done all round, beating even the takings of the opening night. Jhe winner of the sheep weight guessing competition will be declared tonight when the bazaar will close. At nine o clock the sheep which have been given will be cut up and sold. New programme items are also to bo provided. The following were declared winners in the competitions ‘ Roslyn Review,’ Nellie Mabel M‘lntyre, Ernest Sinclair, and Andrew Brown. Darning: Rob Miller, B. Gillespie, and W. Wilson. Spellmg bee; Senior, Mrs C. J. Sutherland; junior, R. Prain. Apple contest: E. Sinclair and W. Perry. Mrs Jarley’s Waxworks proved very enjoyable. The receipts to date total £6O odd. The St. Matthew’s Ladies’ Guild sal© of work ended laet night, when the rush of business of the first night was repeated. i
