Pour petitions to the Executive and a strong appeal to the Assembly for a commutation of her sentence having failed, Martha Rcndell was executed to-day for poisoning the Morris children. Death was instantaneous. PROTESTS HER INNOCENCE. PERTH, October 7. (Received October 7, at U. 15 a.m.) The woman RendeO died protesting her innocence. [Martha RendeU and Thomas N. Morris were charged with poisoning the male prisoner s son- Three other of his children had previously died. The coroner’s jury found that the man was an accomplice, bnt the criminal court jury acquitted him of the capital charge.]
