A Greymouth wire states that at the New Alpine mine at Lyell new stone of good quality has been struck at No. 14 level north, ft is believed to be tho beginning of the North Block. Development is being pushed ahead. The find is likely to have a most important bearing upon th,e company's fortunes, and ic considered to be very valuable.
