0.R.F.T1. Tho weekly meeting of. tho O.R.F.U. Committee was held last evening, and attended by Messrs E. H. Campbell (president), P, J, Priest, J. King, D. Stuart, W. J. Wilson, H. H. S. White, D. Munro, H. Harris, J. Duncan, E. A. Hamel, J. J. Dunne, H. Sincoek, A. Low, V. Ct. Cavanagh, and G. Macdonald. Tho Secretary of tho Referees’ Association forwarded tho names of Messrs A. Hobson, H. M'Farlane, and H. H. S. White for selection as referee in the OtagoCantorbury match.—Tho names to be forwarded to the Canterbury Union. Tho Otago Cricket Association wrote that they preferred a game between Otago and Alhambra for their benefit match on the 25th inst.—Agreed to. At a later stage it was stated that Mr Young, secretary of the Alhambra, had intimated that tho Merivale Club, premiers of Canterbury. were willing to play the Alhambra for the benefit of the Cricket Association on the date mentioned. The Committee decided that they had no objection to this match being played instead of the other one.

The Secretary of the New Zealand Union wrote that the application for a further loan for the purpose of erecting grand stand accommodation at the Oarisbrook Ground could not be granted, as no funds wore available for loan purposes.—lt was decided to explain to the governing body that the Committee asked for a loan when funds were available.

The Secretary of the O.F.A. asked, in Hie event of them not using the ground granted for the 18th inst., would the Committee agree to them using it on the 25th.-—lt was agreijj to give them the use of the Oarisbrook Ground for the 25th. The Kaikorai Club asked permission for their third grade team to play Palmerston juniors at Palmerston on the 25th inst. Application granted. It was agreed to play tho Otago-Canter-bury match on the Caledonian Ground next Saturday.

The President referred to the delay that look place in starting the WellingtonOtago match last 'Saturday. The game did not start until eleven minutes past three, and sixteen minutes were allowed for the interval. A delay of this kind he did not consider fair to their country visitors, who had to leave the ground before the game was finished.—Mr Wilson brought up the matter of an injured Otago player in this match having to take off his jersey on the ground in order to give it to a player taking his place. Wellington showed a good example in having their emergency men all ready to take the field.—Mr Harris explained that it was an oversight, as there were other jerseys on tho ground. It was decided to play the interprovincial schools match Otago' v. Southland as a curtain-raiser to the Otago-Cantorburv game next Saturday.

Emergencies.—Backs; Sutherland (Alhambra), Marston (Alhambra), Davidson (Zingari-Richmond). Forwards: Clarke (Port Chalmers), Graham (Zingari-Rich-mond), and R. Paton (Dunedin). SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. Emergencies ; Backs Timlin. Andrews; forwards Gain M’Kcich. OTAGO FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION. Mr J. Braithwaite presided over the weekly meeting of the O.F.A.’s Executive last night. The Secretary reported that the team selected to play Wellington for the Brown shield had been withdrawn.—Action approved. The Secretary of the Schools Association wrote asking for the use of Corinthian Park and Culling Park on the 25th inst. for a fivo-a-side tournament, the fixtures to bo held at 9 a.m., so as not to prevent attendance at the Canterbury match. The Secretary of the Boys’ Schools Match Committee detailed arrangements made for the schoolboys’ team’s visit to Wellington.—The letter was received, and those who had charge of the arrangements

were thanked for their services. It was agreed that bare expenses bo allowed to the team.—Mr F. C. Mackay attended personally, and thanked the Committee for their assistance.—The Chairman congratulated Mr Mackay on the arrangements made, and said he hoped that the boys would have a pleasant time. The use of the Gardens Ground on the 18th inst. was sought for a match between Hanover Street and Tabernacle Bible Class teams.—lt was resolved that the Clear be granted.—An application for the same ground on behalf of past and present Northern teams was left in the hands of the secretary to arrange. It was resolved to present twenty medals to the winners of the fi ve-a-side tournament, the secretary to arrange the date of the presentation, the same to bo of a social character and to be held in the Trades Hall.

Mr IV. R. Sinclair was appointed referee of the Canterbury-Otago match, Mr Crawley line umpire, and Messrs Hall and MacGillivray goal umpires. It was resolved to accept the Drainage Boards offer to the St. Kilda Borough Council to lease a strip of land adjoining Gulling Park at £1 per annum. The offer was accepted on condition that (lie St. Kilda Cricket Club pay half the rent.
