SYDNEY GAS EMPLOYEES, A THREAT, AND ITS EFFECT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, SYDNEY, September 10. An okl-standing dispute between the Noith Shore Gas Company and the Employees’ Union culminated in the union issuing an ultimatum that unless the company agreed to an immediate conference vith a, view to the company withdrawing their application for a sitting of the Wages Board the employees would bo called out at one o’clock to-day. This meant calling out the city gasworks employees. The negotiations resulted in the company agreeing to confer with the men next week, the men meantime continuing work.
