SALE OF WORK
The Mornington Presbyterian l'oung Women's Bible Class sale of work, in aid of Presbyterian missions and the church repair fund, was very successful yesterday. There was a large attendance at night, and a programme of agreeable entertainment was submitted. The results of the competitions were as follow: Cookery Competitions.—A very large number of entries were received, the judge (Miss Louseley) referring in complimentary terms to the general merit of all sections. Prize - winners : Girdle scones —Mrs J. Robertson 1, Mrs Lester 2, Mrs Calder 3; oven scones—Miss F. Campbell 1, Mrs P. Anderson 2, Mrs Leslie 3; pikelets—Miss M'Callum 1, Miss Gordon (Roslyn) 2, Mrs Fordyce 3; sponge sandwiches—Mrs P. Anderson 1, Annie M'lntyre 2, Mrs Bagrie, sen., 3; pastry Miss M'lntyre 1, Miss Gordon 2; biscuits —Miss E. Gallaway 1, Mrs Bagrie, sen., 2 ; oatcake—Mrs M'Kinnon 1; shortbread —Mrs Bagrie 1, Mrs Kerr (The Glen) 2; Turkish delight—Miss Dawe 1, Mrs j'. Robson 2; cocoanut ice—Mrs Howes 1 Miss Scott 2; assorted toffee—Mrs l! Alexander. The sale will be continued to-night, and a change of the entertainment programme will be made.
